This position is for a full-time duration of 18 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a dedicated team of 1-3 Payroll Specialists, nurturing their professional growth and providing guidance for informed decision-making.
- Exhibit expertise in managing intricate international payrolls, ensuring accurate processing of payroll-related data for multiple countries.
- Collaborate with the Head of Payroll Operations to enhance our service delivery model, ensuring adequate capacity and capability while minimizing risks.
- Deliver a superior payroll experience for employees, addressing complex issues through thorough root cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Collect and analyze key Payroll, HR, and Finance metrics to establish global payroll performance indicators and service level agreements.
- Embrace a culture of continuous improvement, streamlining and automating payroll processes in collaboration with the Payroll Operational Excellence team.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and a robust controls framework to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Maintain the integrity of payroll data across integrated HR and payroll systems, swiftly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including managing partnerships with outsourced payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Assist with audit-related tasks as required.
- Opportunity to engage in a Payroll Partnering role with key cross-functional stakeholders.
- Take charge of your professional development plan and work closely with your Team Lead to achieve your objectives.
- Provide backup support to team members in delivering payroll services as needed.
- Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Team Lead.
Qualifications:
- Strong grasp of core payroll management and processes.
- Experience in payroll leadership on both vendor and client sides is a significant advantage.
- Passion for payroll and payroll-related technologies.
- Hands-on experience in payroll process design is highly regarded.
- Previous exposure to global payroll systems and Workday (or similar enterprise HR systems) is beneficial.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment using digital tools like Slack and Zoom.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and German.
