Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated professional for the role of System Safety Engineer at STRATO Personal GmbH, collaborating with esteemed clients in the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct System Safety Assessments for military aviation systems, ensuring compliance during and post-certification phases.
  • Develop and revise assessments such as Functional Hazard Assessments and System Safety Assessments, adapting system architecture to meet safety and integrity standards.
  • Execute Risk Analyses in line with relevant guidelines and standards to facilitate ongoing aircraft development.
  • Perform analyses related to Common-Cause, including Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis, and Common Mode Analysis.
  • Identify specific safety requirements for system enhancements or modifications, focusing on both hardware and software aspects.
  • Formulate requests for evidence, including tests and simulations, and establish procedures and limitations for ground and aircrew operations.
  • Oversee integrity requirements at the interfaces with interconnected systems.
  • Manage inputs and outputs from interfacing technical domains, including processes, maintenance, human factors, aircraft performance, and quality assurance.
  • Review and validate supplier data concerning safety and reliability standards.
  • Generate comprehensive System Safety Assessment documentation, ensuring traceable results and evidence for Type Certificate acquisition.
  • Conduct safety analyses of airborne software and enhance analysis tools and processes continuously.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in engineering, aviation, and System Safety Assessment, or System Engineering with a focus on Safety Assessment/Airworthiness/Certification.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Safety Tools, such as Isograph FaultTree+, is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
