Aircraft Mechanic at the Engine Test Facility (all genders)

in a dynamic environment.

At MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg, we manage an extensive portfolio of aircraft engines. Our facility is a leader in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of engines within the low to medium thrust spectrum. Additionally, we serve as the center of excellence for the upkeep of industrial gas turbines.

The test bench is where our expertise culminates during the final acceptance tests of the engines. This environment provides a unique opportunity for innovative and adaptable individuals.


Key Responsibilities

Conducting tests on aircraft engines post-overhaul, repair, or as required:

  • Preparing engines for testing, including installation in test adapters and the test cell
  • Executing engine tests following established test protocols
  • Evaluating any discrepancies during test operations
  • Troubleshooting based on manuals or engineering directives
  • Installing and removing engine accessories
  • Removing engines post-testing
  • Documenting results on the test certificate
  • Creating and updating relevant documentation
  • Performing post-test activities and assisting with final inspections
  • Packing engines after testing
  • Maintaining test bench systems in compliance with operational standards
  • Engaging in special projects aimed at enhancing test benches and testing procedures

Candidate Profile
  • Proficient in English and possess German language skills at a B level
  • Willingness to work in shifts
  • Completed training as an aircraft mechanic or in a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in engine testing or a similar domain
