MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg is recognized for managing the largest engine portfolio within the MTU Maintenance network. Our facility specializes in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engines within the low to medium thrust range. Additionally, we serve as the competence center for the maintenance of industrial gas turbines.
The test bench is where the culmination of our efforts takes place during the final acceptance runs of the engines. This role offers an engaging, aviation-focused environment for innovative and adaptable individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting tests on aircraft engines post-overhaul, repair, or other requirements:
- Preparing engines for testing, including installation in test adapters and test cells
- Executing engine tests in accordance with established test manuals
- Evaluating deviations observed during test runs
- Troubleshooting issues based on manuals or engineering directives
- Installing and removing engine accessories
- Removing engines from test setups
- Documenting results on test certificates
- Creating and updating relevant documentation
- Performing post-test activities and assisting in final inspections
- Packing engines after testing
- Maintaining test bench systems in compliance with operational regulations
- Participating in special projects aimed at enhancing test benches and testing processes
Candidate Profile
- Proficient in English and possess German language skills at a B Level
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Completed training as an aircraft mechanic or in a related field
- Several years of professional experience in engine testing or a comparable area
