About the Position

The Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoc Researcher to join our team at the Senckenberg Biodiversity and Climate Research Centre (BiK-F). As a key member of our working group, you will be involved in cutting-edge research on the evolutionary genomics of mammals, focusing on gene flow, evolutionary, population, or phylogenetics to study speciation in mammals.

Your Profile
  • PhD degree in Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Strong interest and proven skills in evolutionary, population, or phylogenomics
  • Knowledge in gene-flow analyses and/or drift processes is an advantage
  • Experience in genome assembly & annotation and programming of scripts, R
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Interest in being involved in an international and interdisciplinary group to expand the work to species distribution modeling, paternal inference, and conservation genetics
