Our brands, including Arla Buko, Kærgarden, Arla Skyr, and Castello, are integral to daily life in over 100 countries, especially in German households.
This pivotal role centers on comprehensive financial support for various brands and categories within the German market. The incumbent will collaborate closely with category marketing teams, particularly the VP of Marketing for Germany, and will engage with European and Global Marketing and Innovation teams, necessitating effective matrix collaboration.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously, challenge norms positively, and communicate proficiently across all organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary finance business partner and trusted advisor for the designated category.
- Drive the preparation of robust business cases and monitor performance, particularly for new innovations.
- Collaborate with category and sales teams to develop pricing and promotional strategies.
- Deliver relevant reporting, assess business performance, KPIs, and identify trends and issues.
- Support and critically evaluate the category team in investment areas and profit enhancement, such as marketing expenditure efficiency and portfolio management.
- Represent finance in category meetings and innovation forums, providing financial insights and challenges.
- Review monthly forecasts for volume, trade marketing, and marketing expenditures, addressing any concerns.
- Ensure proper governance of all marketing expenditures, including adherence to the purchase order process.
- Assist in tracking and updating the German strategy regarding category building blocks and initiative concepts.
- Conduct competitive analysis and respond to ad hoc analytical requests.
- Monitor SG&A spending, supporting junior category finance colleagues.
- Potentially assist with global flagship projects.
Candidate Profile:
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate finance strategy, strategic financial planning, and change management.
- Master's degree with a specialization in finance; international experience is advantageous.
- Possess a strong international perspective and excellent skills in navigating a global matrix organization.
- Fluent in German, with proficiency in additional languages preferred.
