About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Metal Valorisation and Spent Catalyst Manager to join our team at Evonik. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships in the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Valorise metal-containing catalysts and sell spent catalysts to customers in the EMEA region.
  • Negotiate supply contracts and long-term agreements with customers.
  • Manage purchase and sale prices, and optimize catalyst and spent catalyst sales.
  • Attend trade fairs and conferences to promote our products and services.
  • Manage notification procedures for metal-containing spent catalyst from customers, including creating, reviewing, and negotiating notification contracts.
  • Coordinate waste transportation across the EU with external partners and internal departments.
  • Conduct internal training sessions to educate colleagues on our products and services.
  • Develop new waste transportation concepts within and outside the EU.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental management, chemistry, business, or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in catalyst trading and/or spent catalyst management.
  • Fluency in French, English, and German.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as intercultural competence.
  • Analytical thinking and a passion for innovation.
  • Ability to travel for trade fairs and customer visits.
