Position Overview:
At the Leibniz Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP), we are offering a full-time opportunity in the Department of "Optical and Rocket Soundings" as a Postdoctoral Researcher for the EULIAA Project (f/m/d). This role is designed for a duration of three years.
Your Responsibilities:As a postdoctoral researcher, you will engage in cutting-edge research within the realm of experimental atmospheric physics, concentrating on the optical remote sensing of the atmosphere extending to the edge of space, including the stratosphere, mesosphere, and lower thermosphere. You will be involved in the development of innovative instruments and measurement techniques in close collaboration with local industry partners as part of the EU-funded initiative "EULIAA". A significant aspect of your role will include software development related to lidar control and data analysis, complementing the hardware advancements.
Qualifications and Experience:- A PhD in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, environmental sciences, or a closely related field is essential.
