About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Advertising Team Lead to join our team at Mazda Motor Europe GmbH Leverkusen. As a key member of our Digital Business department, you will be responsible for leading the central Digital Advertising Team and driving the digital advertising strategy and operations across all European markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a centralized Adtech Ecosystem and operating model for Mazda in Europe and all its national sales companies.
  • Design and execute digital advertising campaign strategies to deliver effective conversion and personalized consumer experiences in paid channels.
  • Identify profitable consumer segments for effective targeting through the right channel at the right time with the right creative.
  • Monitor industry changes and emerging channels to identify new opportunities for optimal ad placement.
  • Collaborate with relevant Mazda Teams and agencies to create strategies and build creative solutions.
  • Be responsible for central and local digital media agencies and their campaign executions.

Campaign Management & Operations

  • Translate overarching objectives into concrete campaign strategies for Programmatic, Paid Search & Paid Social.
  • Derive and identify addressable target audiences based on overarching media personas using 1st, 2nd & 3rd party data.
  • Oversee inventory sources and portfolio to ensure highest efficacy and profitable audience sizes.
  • Lead campaign set-up and structure for prospecting and retargeting across display, native ads, OLV, paid social, and paid search.
  • Responsible for campaign creation and execution through optimal management of DSP, AdServer, and associated tagging requirements.
  • Effective campaign verification and brand safety technologies by overseeing respective pre-/post-bid configurations, backlisting, and other.
  • Drive the evolution of digital targeting at Mazda by monitoring external legal and consumer trends and establishing a future-proof, privacy-mindful Adtech Ecosystem and targeting methodologies.
  • Supervise integration and exploitation of supplementary technologies for optimal targeting such as data clean rooms, ID solution technologies, and other.
  • Responsible for Paid Search Platforms such as SA, Google Ads to drive web traffic to owned channels.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics.

Requirements

  • University degree in Marketing/Advertising/Communication or equivalent.
  • Several years of work experience in digital advertising – either on client or agency side.
  • Sound knowledge of programmatic content and/or dynamic content as well as Advertising Technologies.
  • Proven record of paid media channel expertise, across programmatic, paid search, paid social.
  • Knowledge of audience segmentation and analytical techniques.
  • Strong personalized journey mindset and experience in channel/touch-point orchestration.
  • Experience with stakeholder management, agencies, and 3rd parties in an international environment.
  • Team-player with high enthusiasm and passion for data-driven media and marketing.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and experience in analytical tools (BI or other) desired.
