We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team at Lilium. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of our battery pack supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage component suppliers end-to-end, from forecasting and planning to purchasing, supplier development, and monitoring.
- Be responsible for on-time delivery, supplier schedule, supplier capacity, and change implementation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve goals and support business strategy.
- Support the cross-functional team to identify and assess potential suppliers.
- Lead the cross-functional team to drive contracted suppliers towards industrialization of new products.
- Ensure the readiness of the supply base by launching capability assessments and capacity audits.
- Implement proper risk management to avoid supply disruptions.
- Drive recovery actions internally and at suppliers in case of non-performance.
- Manage inventories and establish a global warehouse and distribution plan.
- Work with the Supply Chain Quality Team to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Establish, measure, and monitor supply chain-related KPIs.
- Participate in APQP activities.
- Bachelor of Engineering and/or Business Administration Degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain or technical project management roles.
- Excellent communications and leadership maturity.
- Can-do mindset and ability to analyze problems and come up with solutions.
- Customer-centric with a broad understanding of the business environment.
- Willingness to travel for supplier visits.
- Fluent in English.
- Technical understanding and experience with battery pack component production.
- Strong knowledge of Lean production, automation, and serial production.
- Knowledge of key financials affecting companies' figures.
- Fluent in German.
