Daily Responsibilities

As the HVDC Outage and Resource Planner, you will be entrusted with the planning and management of outage schedules for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, ensuring optimal resource allocation to minimize operational disruptions.

Key Contributions:

  • Formulate and uphold outage schedules for HVDC systems, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to strategize and schedule maintenance, repairs, and enhancements for HVDC systems.
  • Employ resource management methodologies to proficiently distribute workforce, equipment, and materials for outage tasks.
  • Examine outage data and performance indicators to identify areas for enhancement and refine outage schedules.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure that outage planning is in harmony with operational requirements and corporate goals.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies pertinent to HVDC systems and outage management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in outage planning and resource management specific to HVDC systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVDC technology, maintenance protocols, and outage scheduling processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with proficiency in interpreting technical data and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and partners.
  • Familiarity with outage management software and resource planning applications.
