Sales Manager for Technical Solutions in Germany

SOCOMORE is a pioneering entity in the chemical industry, established in 1972, and has been on a continuous growth trajectory. We specialize in the design, production, and marketing of surface preparation, treatment, protection, and control solutions, primarily catering to the aerospace sector, including notable clients such as Airbus, Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, and Pratt & Whitney. Our extensive network encompasses subsidiaries, partners, R&D laboratories, and manufacturing facilities, employing over 300 professionals with international project expertise.
Position OverviewAs part of a dynamic Sales team comprising more than 12 members and reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will oversee your sales territory within the aerospace, automotive, rail, and energy sectors, focusing on Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough analysis of your territory utilizing available tools (CRM, QlikSense, competitive intelligence, etc.) alongside your market insights,
- Identifying and pursuing new customer opportunities,
- Assessing product application possibilities through detailed technical and commercial evaluations of customer requirements,
- Enhancing existing operations and exploring new opportunities with current accounts,
- Delivering technical presentations supported by our technical and marketing teams,
- Creating comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for tenders, adhering to the company's pricing strategy,
- Executing product trials at customer sites as necessary,
- Negotiating and finalizing contracts with supervisory approval,
- Analyzing sales metrics and proposing strategic business initiatives to meet established goals,
- Ensuring the accuracy of information provided in business and reporting tools.
You will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including Development, Channel, Marketing, and R&D.
This role involves significant domestic and international travel, approximately 70% of the time.
Candidate ProfileWith a background in technical and/or commercial higher education, you possess at least 5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably within the chemical, aerospace, or automotive industries.
Your strong negotiation and development skills, combined with a comprehensive understanding of the sector, enable you to anticipate and meet customer needs effectively.
Relational intelligence and a keen technical curiosity are essential for success in this role.
An appreciation for international cultures gained through diverse experiences is highly valued.
Fluency in German and English is essential; knowledge of French is an advantage.
