About You and This Role
We're seeking a Senior EH&S Delivery Leader to be based in Wiesbaden, Germany.
As a leader, you'll foster a work environment with high integrity, a strong customer and safety focus, and a commitment to inclusion, diversity, innovation, sustainability, continuous improvement, and empowerment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the EH&S and Quality team
- Coordinate and monitor the performance of occupational safety specialists
- Develop uniform standards for occupational health and safety
- Inspire and motivate employees, set priorities, and ensure completion
- Integrate safety and health into management and process control
- Organize and lead the occupational safety committee
- Support the optimization of EH&S work processes, standards, and procedures
- Participate in root cause investigations and manage them if necessary
- Work with EH&S Expertise Centers to implement Dow Standards in accordance with local regulations and laws
- Cooperate with DOW Business Services in occupational health and safety
Qualifications
- University degree in a chemical-technical field or other chemical specialization
- Several years of practical and active EH&S experience in production, TICA, or maintenance
- Experience as a safety specialist or willingness to qualify as a SiFa
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to convince and inspire
- Knowledge of German/EU legislation
- Ability to assert yourself, mediate, and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external customers
- High degree of initiative and willingness to make changes
- Very good German and good English language skills
- Confidence with electronic systems
