The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Application & Service Management team, responsible for service management and operation of our systems. As a key member of our team, you will work on diverse systems and customer projects, such as public transportation, mobile communication, and electronic health cards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Deployment, configuration, and operation of applications on our high-availability system environments (e.g., OpenShift clusters)
- Error analysis and support (experience/knowledge in Java development, databases, and cluster solutions is beneficial)
- Communication with internal and external customers
- Participation in patch and release management coordination
- Participation in ITIL-based operational processes
You will work in an international team at our Aachen location, enjoying flexible working hours and the option to work from home. Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or equivalent education and work experience
- Excellent written and verbal German language skills, with high-level technical English language skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working with customers and colleagues
- Knowledge and experience in configuring and deploying Linux (and optionally OpenShift) environments
- Basic knowledge of system architecture, operation, and service management
- Optional: experience in Java development, software testing methods, and software maintenance
Desirable Skills
- Unix/Linux administration, error analysis, and networking
- Oracle DB and MongoDB
- Java development, Gitlab CI/CD, HELM, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Fluentd, Elastic-Stack, and Harbor
