HPC Technical Project Manager

Lenovo, the world's leading supercomputing provider, is seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to join its Global HPC Professional Services team in Germany.
This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in Germany, offering a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, complex organization and deliver projects across major customer sites.
As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the schedule, budget, and resources within the project, using basic to advanced project management fundamentals to plan, monitor, and close the project.
Your tasks will include:
- Identifying dependencies for the project
- Creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and monitoring status versus baseline
- Monitoring the project budget versus original costing
- Forming and executing risk-management strategies
- Communicating project status
- Some travel to client sites required (25% to 40% travel expected in Germany and globally)
Key qualifications include:
- 3+ years technical project management experience, gained in a technical environment, ideally in the information technology and high performance computing services industry
- Excellent inter-personal skills and strong relationship building
- Superior organizational skills
- Project Management Certification in PMBoK, PRINCE2, PMI, PMP, etc.
- Experience of working with Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Ability to coordinate and lead activities of a small to large team and interface constructively with our HPC services stakeholders, including 3rd party suppliers
- Professional writing, intended for status reports and project communications
- English and German communication (written, spoken) required
- Strong experience of using MS Project and MS Office
- Experience of developing technical specifications from user requirements
Preferred qualifications include:
- Project management certification
- Training or experience in negotiation
- Training or experience in project accounting
