Join Our Team as a Trainee in Digital Trading

We are Uniper, a leading energy company that is proactively transforming the world of energy while ensuring security of energy supply. Our Commercial Technology Team in Düsseldorf is looking for a talented individual to join our team as a trainee in digital trading.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will develop a deep understanding of Uniper's business, its value drivers, and the business environment.
  • You will learn from and collaborate with experts from many different fields, contribute your ideas, and work on your own projects with various stakeholders.
  • You will start in Digital Trading and rotate flexibly upon your individual career development path.
  • You will work closely with traders and analysts to analyze their business requirements.
  • You will design and implement software solutions with a focus on innovative technologies to accelerate our algorithmic and systematic trading, and advanced analytics capability.
  • You will align with other developers, data scientists, and design architects throughout the full agile development process.
  • You will write and run test scripts either manually or through test automation.
  • You will automate infrastructure, software builds, and delivery processes.
Your Profile
  • You have successfully completed studies in computer science, engineering, or comparable disciplines.
  • You have ideally gained first practical experience through internships and/or working student activities.
  • You are curious and open to working in an international environment.
  • You have intercultural experience, and experience abroad is a plus.
  • You have a sense of responsibility, proactivity, and advanced interpersonal communication skills, as well as a drive for continuous improvement with a hands-on mentality.
  • You are comfortable with programming languages like Python or C#.
  • You have proficiency with Git.
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, IP networking, and cloud technologies is a plus.
  • You have a passion for software engineering and programming.
  • You have fluency in written and spoken English.
