Sourcing Manager for Packaging Solutions

We are currently seeking a Packaging Buyer (m/w/d) to enhance our procurement team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments to understand pricing trends, availability, and supplier landscape.
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and execute sourcing strategies that align with the overarching goals of Hero Group and our supply chain.
  • Project Management: Oversee sourcing initiatives, including market research, RFx processes, benchmarking, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Negotiation Strategy: Develop effective negotiation approaches for packaging materials to enhance cost efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Supplier Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while addressing any disputes that may arise.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with technical and quality assurance teams to ensure supplier compliance and product integrity.
  • Innovation: Partner with marketing to drive supplier innovation and support new product development initiatives.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Create and manage a supplier scorecard to monitor and assess supplier performance.
  • Reporting: Document and communicate savings achieved through sourcing activities.
  • Supervision: Guide and mentor trainees and interns within the procurement team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven expertise in procurement, particularly in the packaging sector.
  • Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation capabilities aimed at cost reduction and value enhancement.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
