Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct thorough analyses to understand pricing trends, availability, and developments within the supply chain.
- Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute sourcing strategies that align with the overarching goals of Hero Group and our supply chain initiatives.
- Project Leadership: Oversee sourcing projects, including market assessments, RFx processes, benchmarking, negotiations, and contract management.
- Negotiation Tactics: Develop and recommend negotiation strategies for packaging materials to maximize cost efficiency, value, and minimize risks.
- Supplier Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers, addressing any disputes that may arise.
- Quality Control: Collaborate with technical and quality assurance teams to ensure effective supplier evaluations and quality standards.
- Innovation Collaboration: Partner with marketing teams to drive supplier innovation and support new product development initiatives.
- Supplier Assessment: Create and maintain a supplier scorecard to monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
- Performance Reporting: Document and report savings achieved through sourcing initiatives.
- Mentorship: Guide and supervise trainees and interns within the procurement team.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven knowledge and experience in procurement, particularly in the packaging sector.
- Negotiation Expertise: Exceptional negotiation skills aimed at cost reduction and value enhancement.
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
