Your Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to Uniper's global energy operations regarding national and European regulations.
- Conduct thorough reviews of physical and financial commodity transactions to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist in or lead internal investigations and respond to both internal and external inquiries.
- Play a pivotal role in the ongoing implementation of energy market and financial regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver training sessions, both in-person and online, for Front Office and Support staff.
- Collaborate with members of the Legal & Compliance team and all relevant stakeholders (e.g., Business, Risk, Audit) to resolve daily compliance issues in trading.
- Support special projects as needed.
Your Profile
- Strong academic background in law with a focus on regulatory matters or a comparable qualification.
- At least 10 years of experience advising on national and European regulatory issues, particularly related to one or more of the following commodities: electricity, natural gas, coal, oil, freight, emissions, iron ore, and/or LNG.
- Specific experience with REMIT, MiFID II, EMIR, MAR, and SFTR is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, judgment, enthusiasm, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment.
- Capability to take the lead and work independently on all tasks outlined in the job description.
- Aptitude for interacting with all levels of management.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required; knowledge of German is a plus.
