Investment Fund Lawyer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Investment Fund Lawyer to join our team at Le Grand & Associates. As an Investment Fund Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the legal structuring of alternative investment funds (AIF) and UCITS, including drafting and negotiating fund documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structuring and management of investment funds: Ensure compliance with AIFMD and UCITS regulations, guaranteeing that funds meet local and European requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the funds' activities and propose necessary adjustments.
  • Transaction Management: Advise on and oversee fund transactions such as fund raisings, asset acquisitions, and disposals.
  • Operational Legal Support: Provide ongoing legal support to the asset management teams, resolving governance and risk management issues.

Requirements:

  • Law degree, specialising in business or financial law. An additional qualification in fund law is an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a lawyer in the investment fund sector, ideally in Luxembourg.
  • Excellent knowledge of AIFMD and UCITS regulations, as well as best practices in fund governance.
  • Fluency in English and/or French, both written and spoken. Knowledge of another European language is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, excellent organisational skills, and strong communication skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
