As a Data Center Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Execute standard procedures to identify issues swiftly, minimizing disruption to both customers and business operations.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct post-execution checks to ensure that all installations, including grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling, adhere to safety protocols and deployment standards.
- Hardware Management: Decommission and refresh hardware components, such as memory upgrades and rebuilds, following established procedures.
- Incident Management: Communicate and escalate incidents to the appropriate management units and engineering specialists as necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Assist and mentor fellow technicians in overcoming complex challenges.
- Training and Development: Complete required training aligned with your role and observe experienced technicians to enhance your skills.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
- Experience in supporting IT equipment or related technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) and Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
- A foundational understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Experience working in a data center environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
