We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Segment Systems Upgrade Project Manager to join our team at EUMETSAT. As a key member of our Project Management Team, you will be responsible for managing the upgrade projects of our Ground Segment Systems, including Multi-Mission Elements, from the architectural design phase until the handover to the customer.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the upgrade projects of the Ground Segment Systems, including Multi-Mission Elements, from the architectural design phase until the handover to the customer, including organisation of relevant reviews with close schedule, cost and resource control;
- Manage the interactions with Programmes in development, with Operations department and with the engineering teams of TSS in charge of facilities/services maintenance and evolution;
- Contribute to the generation and maintenance of the Ground Segment Systems services catalogue and related Service Level Agreement (SLA);
- Generate and maintain Development & Management Plans and Projects Plans;
- Contribute to the implementation of Change Control and baseline management processes with the Programmes and with Operations;
- Support and/or monitor external procurements and contracts as required.
- Proven experience in Project Management, preferably in the fields of developing satellite ground segment generic IT infrastructure and multi-mission elements, within a multiple project environment;
- Practical experience with system engineering methodologies;
- Experience in system engineering lifecycle aspects (e.g. design, production, integration, verification and validation), preferably for Satellite Ground Segments;
- Strengths in analysis, synthesis and presentation, coupled with good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to apply these to the interactions within a team and between teams.
