We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT). As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our information systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and evaluate systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and web-based security.
- Recognize and respond to potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises through reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.
- Communicate alerts to agencies regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications, and operating systems.
- Assist with the implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans.
- Safeguard the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure.
- Respond to queries and requests for computer security information and reports.
- Conduct investigations of computer security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management.
- Research, evaluate, test, recommend, communicate, and implement new security software or devices.
- Implement, enforce, communicate, and develop security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications.
- Develop materials for computer security education/awareness programs.
- Perform periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system, and external web integrity scans to determine compliance.
- Provide information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access to information.
- Provide information assurance project management, technical security staff oversight, and development of mission-critical technical documents.
- Provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced team members.
- May serve as a team or task leader.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and privacy laws.
- Security Clearance Required: Secret Level Security Clearance
- Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 8+ years of experience
- Skills: Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF); Knowledge with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
- Certification: Maintain a DoDD 8570/8140 IAM III certification
- ITIL related certification
