Wind Energy Service Technician

Are you passionate about contributing to the global renewable energy sector? We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician / Project Technician (m/f/d) to become part of a diverse team at Vestas, where you will have the chance to make a significant impact in key areas of our operations.
The Service Operations Development NCE Department is committed to providing tailored solutions for up-tower repairs, crane-less operations, and cost-reduction initiatives across the Northern & Central Europe (NCE) Service regions. This role requires strong collaboration with the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Engineering Support, Construction teams, and the Continuous Improvement Management (CIM) department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in CIM Pre-Assessment by reviewing repair instructions, evaluating technical feasibility, and ensuring the availability of necessary tools and materials.
- Serve as a supervisor and field instructor for regional technicians and subcontractors during the implementation of CIM Work Instructions, including planning, organizing, and conducting technical training or briefings in the field.
- Oversee execution and perform quality checks for critical CIM cases.
- Act as a CIM Technician in escalation scenarios.
Required Qualifications
- Technical training or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work at heights, maintain physical fitness, and demonstrate a high level of safety awareness.
- Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills for on-site implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of the Vestas product range.
- Familiarity with systems and processes, including Vestas Technical Documentation and Troubleshooting.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably within the wind energy sector.
- Proficient in MS Office and possess strong computer skills.
- Basic understanding of project management principles.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment (NCE).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
