Chapter ONE is on a mission: to support Hip-Hop newcomers and established artists on their journey with the best possible network. The robust distribution structures of a major label meet the familial and flexible environment of an indie. Whether individual artists or label partners, our service offerings can be tailored to meet the specific needs of our partners.
We are looking for a new Senior A&R Manager (all genders) to join our team at Chapter ONE. This position is available in a permanent full-time capacity.
Your Responsibilities:
- Continuously seek out new artists, engage in artist development, and support our existing artists in their musical growth.
- Monitor market trends and developments, identifying new talents across relevant platforms and at live events.
- Establish artistic objectives while considering economic goals.
- Expand the respective product repertoire.
- Maintain relationships with artists, producers, and artist management.
- Exercise your creativity: influence the image of the artists and design an artist CI in collaboration with the marketing and PR/TV & Radio teams.
- Oversee the establishment and monitoring of production budgets.
Your Qualifications:
- Experience in the A&R field, particularly in scouting, music development, and deal-making.
- In-depth knowledge of the music scene with an existing network of producers, artists, and service providers in the German rap scene.
- Familiarity with the music industry and a broad repertoire knowledge, especially in Hip-Hop/German rap.
- Understanding of the live sector, merchandising, music media, and new media.
- Proficient in German and possess good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Well-versed in MS Office programs.

- Confident in your demeanor and possess a strong communication style when interacting with artists, media partners, management, and business partners, remaining calm in unforeseen circumstances.
