Position Overview

We are seeking a Head of Auditing to lead DNV MEDCERT in Hamburg, Germany. This pivotal role involves overseeing a team of three direct reports (Team Leaders) and spearheading improvement initiatives within DNV MEDCERT. The Head of Auditing is crucial for guiding and advancing the Audit group, facilitating organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for building and managing the Audit team (Auditors and Experts) to ensure comprehensive, precise, and timely Audit and Technical Documentation Assessments.
  • Establish and enhance KPIs, continuously improve data utilization, analyze operational metrics, and initiate necessary actions.
  • Manage internal projects aimed at organizational development, particularly concerning core processes related to Audit and Technical Documentation assessment.
  • Conduct Audits in accordance with ISO 13485, MDR, and MDSAP as required to maintain Authorization.
  • Foster close collaboration with the Finance and Planning as well as Customer Service departments.
  • Establish and cultivate the company culture within the Audit department.
  • Report directly to the Operational Manager.

  • A degree in Engineering, Medicine, or Science.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the regulatory landscape of ISO 13485, MDR, MDSAP, or ISO/IEC.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a solid understanding of the Notified Body environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both German and English.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • A pragmatic approach: able to see the big picture while also focusing on details.
  • Experience in establishing and enhancing new systems or processes.
