Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Global IP Operations team, ensuring the effective execution of our intellectual property strategies.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of patent attorneys, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews to ensure their growth and development.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure excellence and best-practices in patent, design right, and trademark workflows.
- External Partnerships: Manage relationships with external patent law firms, ensuring the selection and evaluation of high-quality service providers.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with IP Portfolio Managers, Patent Attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless information sharing and integration.
- Representation: Represent Giesecke & Devrient GB Ltd. in front of patent offices and courts of arbitration, ensuring the protection of our intellectual property rights.
- Expertise: Possess a strong background in European and/or German patent law, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a patent attorney.
- Leadership: Demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving results.
- Business Acumen: Possess a deep understanding of business operations and strategies, with the ability to translate them into actionable plans.
- Communication: Excel in written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies to various stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Fluency in German, with proficiency in English a plus.
