Position Overview:
As a key contributor in this role, you will:

  • Design and enhance Infineon's proprietary analog circuit simulation tools.
  • Continuously refine the simulator to maximize efficiency, feature richness, and maintainability.
  • Revamp existing software components, ensuring code quality and performance through refactoring.
  • Provide support to our global user base, addressing queries and enhancing user experience.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation to aid users and stakeholders.
  • Engage in EU-funded initiatives that align with the interests of Infineon’s internal simulation teams.

Qualifications:
You are ideally suited for this position if you possess:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in simulation software development, particularly in the electronic design automation (EDA) sector, algorithm design, or a comparable technical field.
  • Expertise with SPICE-based simulators (e.g., SIMetrix, Orcad PSpice, LTspice, Cadence Spectre, Synopsys HSPICE, Siemens EDA AFS, etc.).
  • Strong programming capabilities, particularly in C++/C.
  • A profound understanding of electronic components and their applications.
  • Knowledge of high-performance data structures, algorithms, sparse matrix techniques, memory optimization, and multithreading programming.
  • Self-driven with exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ideally, prior experience in developing circuit simulation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
