Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and enhancement of advanced circuit simulation tools that are essential for our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Infineon's proprietary analog circuit simulator.
  • Continuously refine the simulator to maximize efficiency, feature richness, and maintainability.
  • Enhance existing software components through code refactoring and maintenance.
  • Provide support to our global user base.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Engage in EU-funded initiatives that align with Infineon's internal simulation objectives.

Qualifications:
You are well-suited for this position if you possess:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in simulation software development, particularly in the electronic design automation (EDA) sector, algorithm development, or similar technical fields.
  • Expertise with SPICE-based simulators (e.g., SIMetrix, Orcad PSpice, LTspice, Cadence Spectre, Synopsys HSPICE, Siemens EDA AFS, etc.).
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in C++/C.
  • A profound understanding of electronic components and their applications.
  • Knowledge of high-performance data structures, algorithms, sparse matrix techniques, memory optimization, and multithreading programming.
  • Self-driven with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ideally, prior experience in circuit simulator development.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in German being an advantage.
