Kooku Recruiting GmbH is seeking a dedicated and experienced Battery Storage Operations & Maintenance Manager to oversee our growing portfolio of battery energy storage systems (BESS). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and profitability of these critical assets.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of BESS operations and maintenance, including:

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our internal BESS portfolio, ensuring efficient and reliable energy storage solutions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize energy output and efficiency.
  • Maintenance & Warranty Management: Coordinate all maintenance activities, including preventative and corrective measures, and effectively manage warranty claims with suppliers.
  • Contract Negotiation & Procurement: Negotiate favorable contracts with third-party service providers for O&M services and spare parts procurement.
  • Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare accurate financial reports on operational costs, maintenance expenses, and revenue generated by the BESS portfolio. Develop cost forecasts to ensure budget adherence.
  • Market Analysis & Investment Opportunities: Stay abreast of market trends in battery storage technology and identify potential investment opportunities for expanding our BESS portfolio.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards related to battery storage systems.
  • Inventory Management: Effectively manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and ensure timely repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience operating and maintaining electrical systems, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
