We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team in Germany. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and driving the financial strategy to support our company's growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with our company's goals.
- Oversee financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Provide strategic recommendations to our executive team to drive business performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard our company's assets.
- Optimize cash flow management and working capital.
- Lead, mentor, and develop our finance team to achieve high performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to support our overall business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans.
- Act as a key business partner to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations in Germany.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Subscription business experience mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (Workday); advanced Excel skills.
- Fluent in German and English.
