Carbon Methodology Specialist

FORLIANCE is dedicated to initiating, financing, and managing effective nature-based climate initiatives, integrating them into sustainability strategies to help clients meet their Net Zero Carbon objectives. Our diverse team of over 55 professionals across ten countries collaborates with global partners to foster healthy forests and ecosystems that enhance climate stability, biodiversity, and human welfare.
To advance our mission of promoting climate protection, we are seeking a Carbon Methodology Development Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting technical scoping documents to prepare for the creation of certification methodologies.
- Formulating certification methodologies in agricultural land management, forest stewardship, and peatland restoration.
- Facilitating working group sessions with a network of international experts.
- Organizing, executing, and assessing public consultations.
- Conducting expert interviews, designing surveys, and performing independent desk research.
- Preparing reports and maintaining thorough documentation.
Candidate Profile:
- In-depth understanding of the environmental and climatic implications of land use practices, including agriculture, forestry, and peatland management.
- Expertise in both voluntary and regulatory carbon markets.
- Demonstrated experience in developing carbon farming methodologies.
- Relevant advanced degree.
- A minimum of four years of specialized professional experience.
- Proficiency in English, with a minimum C1 level.
- Experience in an international multi-stakeholder context.
- Ability to work independently and possess excellent communication skills.
