(Senior) Sales Executive (m/f/d) - TLM - Travel, Transport, Telco, Logistics & Media

To achieve our ambitious goals for the future, SAP aims to continuously strengthen its market leadership by guiding and advising our customers on their journey to the cloud.

Often, this involves replacing existing individual solutions with SAP's standard offerings. SAP provides a comprehensive, intelligent, and customized solution with RISE that supports companies in their digital transformation strategy.

To further expand our successful sales team, we are looking for a strategically minded and experienced (Senior) Sales Executive for TLM - Travel, Transport, Telco, Logistics & Media (m/f/d):

YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactive management and development of assigned customers at all organizational levels to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic and operational management of the internal virtual account team with empathy, enthusiasm, and perseverance.
  • Reliable and competent partner for strategic discussions with customers.
  • Identifying customer needs across functional areas and hierarchical levels while demonstrating the value of SAP solutions with industry content and specific process knowledge.
  • Creating a customer-specific plan and executing it.
  • Developing TCO and value cases as decision-making templates for our customers.
  • Professional management of opportunities and proposals for assigned customers, including accurate forecasting.
  • Customer-related pricing and contract structuring, as well as negotiating complex contracts while considering existing agreements.
  • Establishing a rolling four-quarter plan (including targeted demand generation), actively developing opportunities and pipeline.
  • Achieving agreed targets for cloud bookings, including new and upsell business as well as successful renewals.
  • Evaluating, monitoring, and professionally managing customer-related risks/preventing escalations.
  • Providing feedback from customers and partners to product management and collaborating with other internal SAP stakeholders.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Several years of experience in SaaS, software, or IT sales (ideally including cloud ERP/outsourcing).
  • Experience in selling cloud solutions or in the adoption of cloud solutions.
  • Market and industry knowledge in one or more of the following sectors: Travel, Transport, Telco, Logistics, Media.
  • Segment-specific network (to customers and partners, networking within the industry and across the entire SAP ecosystem).
  • Successfully completed university degree in business administration, business informatics, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience in managing larger virtual account teams.
  • Negotiation skills and experience at various hierarchical levels with customers.
  • Reliable knowledge of contractual options, creativity in positioning and contract negotiation situations.
  • Strong closing skills with proven experience and success in penetrating existing accounts and consistently achieving targets.
  • Creativity in market engagement.
  • Composure in critical situations.
  • Strong presentation skills at both technical and decision-making levels.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel.
