ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Senior Automation Quality Engineer, you will integrate into a collaborative team or a specialized practice group that enhances quality engineering capabilities across a broad domain.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with your team to deliver optimal solutions to customer requirements while taking full ownership of applications from design through to operation.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on the quality of your deliverables, ensuring comprehensive documentation and security measures are in place.
  • Utilizing your extensive technical expertise to define, implement, and sustain efficient, highly automated testing frameworks throughout the testing hierarchy, including functional, integration, contract, performance, and load testing.
  • Establishing a suitable testing strategy and ensuring the availability of necessary test data.
  • Developing effective solutions to ensure quality, particularly where automation encounters limitations.
  • Providing mentorship and support to colleagues, sharing your deep knowledge to enhance skills in quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Continuously improving tools, processes, and methodologies with a customer-centric approach, fostering collective ownership of quality.
  • Collaborating with Product Owners to ensure feature specifications are testable and advocating for methodologies such as test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Engaging in the complete cycle of software design, development, testing, and deployment, contributing to increased automation.
  • Effectively communicating your ideas and taking initiative to transform concepts into tangible results. You will also work with practice teams and enabler groups to explore, assess, and implement new methodologies, processes, and tools.

ABOUT YOU

  • Extensive and proven experience in quality assurance methodologies, tools, and practices within an agile framework.
  • Strong technical knowledge across all areas of quality assurance, including automation, functional, contract, integration, performance, and load testing.
  • In-depth understanding of software engineering practices such as BDD and TDD.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement quality strategies at scale.
  • Significant experience in comprehensive application testing, including RESTful services and frontend applications.
  • Familiarity with testing tools, including:
    • BDD frameworks like Cucumber
    • API testing tools
    • CI/CD tools and the ability to integrate testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines
    • Postman or similar tools for API testing
    • JMeter or comparable tools
  • Solid experience with CI/CD practices.
