Senior Legal Counsel for Sustainability and Compliance

About the Role:

PUMA SE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel for Sustainability and Compliance to join our team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will play a crucial role in advising on all legal sustainability issues, monitoring European legislative projects, and providing legal advice on sustainability reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on all legal sustainability issues, including LkSG, CSRD, and CSDDD
  • Monitor European sustainability-driven legislative projects and communicate them to relevant departments and the Executive Board
  • Support PUMA's sustainability organization from a legal perspective, including preparing meetings of the Sustainability Committee of the Supervisory Board
  • Provide legal advice in the preparation of sustainability reporting
  • Advise on all other compliance issues in the risk areas of bribery/corruption, conflicts of interest, business partner, anti-money laundering, and sanctions law
  • Monitor legal developments in all key areas of the compliance organization and their internal communication
  • Commission, coordinate, and manage external legal advisors

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified lawyer under German law (Volljurist*in)
  • About 4-6 years of professional experience in an international company or international law firm
  • Relevant work experience in the field of ESG (and preferably in general Compliance)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent team player, who enjoys working in diverse teams and in an international environment with different departments
  • Assertiveness, good business understanding with a sense of pragmatism and can-do attitude
