The Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer Data Center Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data center team, you will be responsible for leading the design of mechanical systems for medium to large-scale mission-critical projects. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality projects that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of mechanical systems, including cooling, HVAC, and fire fighting systems, for medium to large-scale mission-critical projects.
  • Develop and review design deliverables to ensure they meet the needs of our clients.
  • Collaborate with our data center clients to deliver quality work that meets their specific needs.
  • Present technical content to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8 or more years of experience designing mission-critical mechanical systems for industrial facilities, with experience in data centers a plus.
  • Ability to manage project deliverables and budgets while effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Knowledge of relevant German codes and industry standards.
  • Design experience with different cooling solutions.
  • Familiarity with EEFG requirements, PUE/WUE calculations.
  • Experience with technical due diligence projects.
  • Understanding of Tier Levels (UI, TUEV IT) and SPOF analysis.
  • Experience with 3D BIM software - Revit MEP.
  • Fluency in English and ideally German.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.
