Senior Electrical Engineer - Complex HVDC Project

EarthStream Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development, design, and implementation of HVDC projects, contributing to the delivery of reliable and efficient power transmission systems across the globe.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage HVDC projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HVDC technology solutions, including converter stations, transformers, control systems, and protection schemes.
  • Lead large-scale engineering projects, with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVDC engineering, with a strong track record in designing and managing HVDC projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVDC technology, including converter stations, transformers, control systems, and protection schemes.
  • Expertise in using industry-standard simulation and design software (e.g., PSCAD, MATLAB, ATP, EMTP-RV).
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale engineering projects, with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in German and English.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.
