Group Accounting Expert

The Group Accounting & IFRS Governance Team is built on strong collaboration and teamwork. We emphasize ongoing education and offer a variety of development pathways. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to IFRS standards
  • Refine, implement, and document current processes (including IFRS 9 and Hedge Accounting)
  • Evaluate financial instruments, conduct sensitivity analyses, and assess methodologies for Purchase Price Allocations, IFRS 16 Leasing, and IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition
  • Review and update the comprehensive Accounting Manual (available in both German and English) as per the Group Accounting Directive
  • Assist in the preparation of the management report and accompanying notes for the annual financial statements of the Nordzucker Group
  • Oversee the integration with the annual report
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (both individual and consolidated)
  • Facilitate group-wide training initiatives
  • Lead projects independently
  • Engage with local finance teams and the Nordzucker Shared Service Center

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance or a related field
  • Has comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and HGB, preferably with experience in a well-regarded auditing firm
  • Exhibits audit proficiency and has experience collaborating with auditors
  • Has a track record of successfully completed projects
  • Is committed and highly driven
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and excels in a collaborative environment
  • Is proficient in SAP (S4 Hana, Group Reporting)
  • Possesses strong English language capabilities
