To enhance our Business Development Team, we are seeking a Development Manager / Real Estate Associate (m/f/x).
Following our acquisition by Stepstone Group Real Estate, we are rapidly expanding our footprint across European cities through the acquisition and leasing of hotels and hostels. This role presents a unique opportunity within the hospitality sector, particularly on the real estate investment side of the business. With our flat organizational structure, the successful candidate will experience accelerated personal development, gaining exposure and responsibility at a faster pace.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the search for suitable properties, focusing primarily on the DACH region. Provide analytical support during real estate transactions for the entire team, including financial assessments and underwriting processes. Assist with market and financial evaluations during acquisition, leasing, and financing phases. Develop and maintain financial models for acquisitions and leasing opportunities with the guidance of Development Managers. Prepare investment memorandums and information packages for internal investment committees, boards of directors, and financial institutions. Analyze operational data from existing hostel properties (monthly reports, budgets) for performance benchmarking and underwriting purposes. Support the Head of Development throughout transactions, including Letters of Intent, structuring, and negotiation of transactional documents. Evaluate potential development and capital project proposals to ensure alignment with operational performance and investment return criteria.YOUR PROFILE
In-depth knowledge of real estate acquisition dynamics, coupled with a strong interest in the hospitality industry. 3-4 years of experience in analytical, investment, or real estate development roles. Strong research and analytical skills are essential. Proficient understanding of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Excellent organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize tasks and attention to detail. Proficient in English and German, with additional European languages being a plus. Professional demeanor that reflects credibility and appropriate communication with clients and colleagues. Skilled in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint, as well as financial modeling.OUR OFFER
