Solution Architect for Manufacturing Execution Systems

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team at znt Zentren für Neue Technologien. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solutions for our clients in the high-tech industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance to clients on the redesign and optimization of business processes in the production environment in conjunction with MES implementation
- Analyze, implement, and model client requirements in MES projects following standardized procedures, as well as create design documents
- Act as a point of contact for our clients regarding problem-solving and extensions to ongoing productive MES systems
- Perform technical effort estimation and project evaluation for proposals and client/product demos, as well as consider and evaluate machine connections, controls, and interfaces
- Take on shared responsibility for the implementation of client-specific adaptations of the MES product as well as the introduction and go-live of our software solutions
- Conduct user training and client workshops
- Support project managers as an interface between internal software developers and our clients
Requirements:
- Completed successful studies, preferably with a focus on business informatics, automation technology, production, or business administration, or comparable practical experience
- Several years of experience in consulting or project management, preferably in the fields of production, automation, machine integration, or software development in the MES environment
- Ideal knowledge of MES standards (ISA-S95, S88), programming languages (Java, C#), databases (SQL, Oracle), Windows, and web servers (IIS) as well as cloud technology (AWS, Azure)
- Analytical thinking, quick understanding, and understanding of customer requirements
- Confident appearance at the customer through excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English
- Teamwork, reliability, and commitment, flexibility, willingness to learn, and resilience, as well as structured, goal-oriented, and result-oriented working methods
- Enjoyment of intercultural collaboration as well as travel readiness within the framework of customer projects
