About the Role
tesa is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability of our material supply and managing material prices in a volatile market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct frequent and assertive negotiations with suppliers to secure a stable material supply and manage material prices.
- Independently form and finalize supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with company strategies.
- Develop and implement material category strategies, enriching them with insights on specific supply market development.
- Transform company strategies into actionable procurement plans, ensuring successful implementation.
- Continuously seek innovative procurement solutions that support business growth.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their unique requirements.
- Collaborate across departments and countries to create and implement effective procurement solutions.
- Conduct regular market research to inform procurement decisions.
- Ensure strict adherence to product development processes and procurement guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, chemistry, or engineering, with several years of relevant professional experience in an international industrial context.
- Proven negotiation and assertiveness skills, with experience in modern procurement processes and systems.
- Familiarity with value engineering and cost modeling methods and tools.
- Understanding of material category management and product development processes.
- Experience in cross-functional and international project management.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to thrive in cross-functional teamwork and adapt to international environments.
- Fluency in Business English, with proficiency in German a plus.
