Position Overview:
The Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas is seeking a skilled professional to oversee the maintenance operations across our various facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our campus environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance and custodial staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety across all buildings.
- Manage the security systems for campus facilities and coordinate the motor pool operations.
- Implement and oversee a campus-wide work order system to streamline maintenance requests and activities.
- Report maintenance needs and activities to the Plant Maintenance Director, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including electrical, heating, and emergency management systems.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices.
- Understanding of budgeting processes and performance management.
- Excellent leadership and planning skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
