About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Specialist to join our Operational Tax Team in Berlin and Dusseldorf. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent business processes as a service to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, plan, and execute daily activities related to tax reportings in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) agreed with clients.
  • Key tasks will include:
    • Various German tax services, e.g. tax statements production, TaxBox and/or Church tax activities
    • Regulatory reporting to various regulatory or tax bodies in Germany
    • Supporting the team improving the functionalities of Avaloq's core banking platform and the related processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks
    • Collaboration in projects to implement legal requirements and as part of the introduction of new technical functionalities
    • Test execution of regressions and extensions of the corresponding subject areas
    • Target-orientated communication with customers and internal interface partners
Requirements
  • Degree in economics with a focus on taxes or training as a bank clerk or comparable training
  • Experience in the back office of a bank and in dealing with tax-related banking issues
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
  • Good team spirit and a positive attitude
  • Analytical mindset and confident handling of MS Office
  • Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced, and complex environment
  • Structured and careful way of working, paired with a quick grasp of the situation
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
