Position Overview:
Your Role in the Skies:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in crafting intricate systems to contribute to the evolution of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aviation. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing system architecture, managing requirements engineering, and facilitating the successful certification of pilot control input concepts for Volocopter's aircraft. In collaboration with diverse teams, you will be instrumental in shaping the pilot's interaction with eVTOL aircraft.
- Facilitating requirements management at the flight control level with a focus on pilot interfaces
- Offering system-level insights for collaboration with internal teams and certification bodies
- Assisting in the creation of tests, schematics, and design documentation
- Coordinating and supervising external suppliers
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Master's degree or higher in engineering, ideally in aerospace engineering
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in systems engineering for complex systems, preferably within aviation
- Knowledge of aviation standards, guidelines, and certification protocols
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Experience with V-Cycle, agile/scrum methodologies, and relevant tools
- Proficiency in systems engineering tools and related knowledge
- Structured approach to work with a focus on reliability and accountability
