About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Software Developer to join our team at Materna Information & Communications SE. As a Java Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test individual software solutions, portals, enterprise content management systems, or mobile applications with a high degree of innovation.
  • Lead the entire development process and be responsible for the implementation and integration of functional requirements.
  • Take ownership of decisions related to the development of IT and software solutions and coordinate them as needed as a lead developer.
  • Evaluate the quality of software solutions and develop measures to improve them.
  • Analyze and implement complex applications in projects for the public sector and private industry.
  • Work with new technologies and keep an eye on technology trends.
Requirements
  • A completed degree in Computer Science, a comparable natural science or technical degree, or a comparable training.
  • Several years of experience in complex Java Enterprise projects using common tools and frameworks.
  • Relevant experience in working with Java technologies, Spring/SpringBoot, Hibernate, or similar tools from the Java ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of current approaches such as CI/CD, build management, and versioning, as well as knowledge of container technologies.
  • Very good German (C1) and good English (B2) skills in writing and speaking.
