Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Field Service Representative to join our team in the water treatment industry. As a Field Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing on-site services to our major accounts in the assigned geographic area. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient operation of our water treatment systems, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site chemical testing and program follow-up to ensure optimal system performance
- Conduct customer reporting and data processing using our InSight platform to track system performance and identify areas for improvement
- Provide first-line troubleshooting for Cooling, Boiler, Water & Waste, and Industrial process water treatment applications
- Execute site surveys, equipment start-up, and commissioning to ensure seamless system integration
- Manage repairs, maintenance, and warranty services to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction
- Develop and maintain strong verbal and written communication with customers to ensure their needs are met
- Perform minor assembly operations as required to ensure system integrity
- Coordinate projects to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction
- Support costing of contracts to ensure accurate pricing and customer satisfaction
- Participate in local team meetings to share best practices and stay up-to-date on industry developments
- Comply with Veolia's integrity and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Service-oriented mindset with a focus on external customer satisfaction
- Chemical background or equivalent experience
- Ability to take initiative and drive technical improvements
- Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commercial acumen and interest in business development
- Good knowledge of German language and English is required
- Strong flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
- Competence with Windows Office software and Veolia IT tools
- Experience in wastewater treatment is a plus
Qualifications
- Experience performing fundamental chemical tasks such as titrations, pH, and conductivity measurements
- Basic mechanical skills to assist in troubleshooting chemical feed equipment
- Computer proficiency with Google Tools and online data management
- Strong aptitude for teamwork and communication
- Ability to prioritize and manage deliverables in a high-paced work environment
Education
This role is ideally suited for individuals currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical) or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) program in Chemistry. Consideration will also be extended to other science-based technical programs and degrees.
