Supply Chain Manager

Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

This is a challenging role that requires a strong leader to manage the site supply chain and purchasing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering site-operational objectives and providing outstanding supply chain service levels on quality and delivery while achieving the lowest total cost of acquisition for direct material, indirect goods and services, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of buyers responsible for acting on order suggestions and exception messages generated by the MRP system.
  • Collaborate with the Global Supplier Performance Group to manage supplier performance for site-specific deliveries and suppliers.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives to meet annual operating plan and long-term business objectives.
  • Manage and minimize supplier inflation and price increase requests.
  • Support site PWC objectives by leveraging inventory management opportunities and supplier payment terms.
  • Ensure utilization of strategic tools and processes to achieve objectives of improved on-time delivery and quality and reduced cycle times and total cost of acquisition.
  • Facilitate and oversee critical supply-site quality issues between Operations, Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers.
  • Work with platform and GSC cross-functional teams to support and drive sourcing initiatives to reduce costs, rationalize the supply base, and leverage new technologies.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing people.
  • Proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) or material requirements planning (MRP) systems, particularly SAP.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Skill in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors and partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Experience with change management and growth development planning.
  • Very good knowledge of German and English.
