The HR Director at Danaher will lead a dedicated team of 3-4 HR professionals, responsible for crafting and implementing HR strategies aligned with business goals. This role encompasses providing expert guidance in areas such as culture and change management, strategic coaching, talent assessment and development, succession planning, performance management, and organizational design.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the HR Business Partner to the global General Manager of Automation & Customer Informatics Technology.
  • Collaborating with Centre of Excellence (CoE) functions to ensure the effective delivery of people-related processes, including Recruitment, Talent Development, and Performance Management.
  • Working closely with European functional HR Leads and the broader team in the US.

This position is part of a global HR team, and the HR Director will report to the HR VP of Global Business Units, overseeing strategic HR leadership for the global business unit.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive the people agenda for the region, focusing on acquiring, developing, engaging, and retaining top talent.
  • Coach and support senior leaders on critical people-related topics, enhancing their skills in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Engagement, and Talent Management.
  • Establish a collaborative relationship with the Works Council, leading negotiations and managing compliance with local labor laws.
  • Foster an engaging environment that promotes associate development and positions the organization as an employer of choice.
  • Partner with the global HR leadership team to implement local actions that align with global HR strategic initiatives.
  • Provide dedicated HR advisory services on matters related to employee relations, health issues, and organizational change.

Essential qualifications include:

  • A university degree with extensive HR experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years leading an HR team and serving as an HR Business Partner in a large multinational organization.
  • Experience in managing complex HR issues across diverse populations in a global matrix environment.
  • Strong knowledge of German labor laws and experience working with Works Councils.
  • Proven success in organizational design and change management.
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Background in HR leadership within a science and technology context.
  • Project management experience in workforce development initiatives.
