About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technology Specialist to join our team at GULP – experts united. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering automation systems and databases in the development process, including license maintenance and license management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Administer automation systems and databases in the development process, including license maintenance and license management
  • Provide support for development departments when using automation systems, including direct support and troubleshooting on test benches, as well as providing instruction and training
  • Support external customers in the use of the test bench, know their requirements, and implement specifications from the automation department
  • Prepare measurement data and subsequent analysis, including using tools such as Concerto and Uniplot
  • Develop a concept for parameterization and low-maintenance residual bus simulation of the ECU-CAN network on the test benches
  • Be responsible for the conceptual development and commissioning of data-based tools in the field of test methodology
  • Participate in the commissioning of a wide variety of test specimens on the test benches
  • Monitor and support test bench modernizations or implementation of new requirements for test benches

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in the field of automation technology, computer science, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or a comparable degree
  • Several years of proven professional experience in the field of test bench automation, particularly with AVL PUMA
  • Experience in the field of engine development or engine testing is an advantage
  • Expert knowledge in the field of database administration, especially for database management systems such as AVL Santorin MX2, Oracle SQL, and Microsoft SQL
  • Sound administrative knowledge of Windows Server 2022
  • Very good knowledge of object-oriented software development with LabView
  • Good knowledge of ECU calibration (ETAS Inca)
  • Experience in the areas of big data and data management, as well as the development of data-based tools
  • Several years of experience in programming, such as C++, VB Script, and Siemens S7
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Very good written and spoken English skills are essential
