Job Purpose:
The Corporate Legal Administrative Coordinator will play a crucial role in facilitating the efficient operation of the Corporate Governance team. This position will interact with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives. The coordinator will provide support to Citigroup's broker-dealer, which is overseen by regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with elevated governance standards.
This position is ideal for individuals looking to embark on a career in Corporate Governance or those in the early phases of their professional journey in this field. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip the candidate with the necessary skills to assist the Boards and Committees of our regulated entities, as well as to manage legal entity oversight for a variety of other controlled organizations.
The role demands a proactive and pragmatic individual with a solid understanding of the legal framework within Citigroup. The primary objective is to deliver support to the Legal Department.
Key Responsibilities:
The position is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of the Corporate Governance team in Germany. The coordinator will engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives.
Daily Operations of the Corporate Governance Team:
- Assisting with the onboarding of new team members and providing ongoing systems support, collaborating with IT and other departments as needed.
- Managing team schedules and email communications.
- Coordinating meeting room reservations as necessary.
- Handling courier and documentation requests as required.
Support for Board Governance:
- Providing logistical assistance for Board meetings, including room bookings, catering arrangements, and guest access passes.
- Potential for on-site support during meetings, including managing presenters and logistical contacts.
- Assisting with additional Board meeting needs, such as off-site visits and Board dinners.
- Supporting Non-Executive Directors by coordinating diary availability and arranging meetings outside formal Board sessions.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
A typical day will involve aiding in the organization of Board and Committee meetings, including setting agendas, preparing meeting materials, and providing logistical support.
Development Opportunities:
- Fostering effective relationships with line management to enhance understanding of the business.
- Building and maintaining connections with key business contacts.
- Collaborating on projects with Internal Audit teams within the Citigroup framework.

Experience, Skills, and Capabilities
Experience/Knowledge:
- Relevant industry experience, ideally with some exposure to in-house legal roles within financial services.
- Prior experience in Financial Services and Legal Entity Governance.
- Ability to manage complex documentation with attention to detail.
- Creating a positive work environment through open communication and a commitment to completing assigned tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish rapport with other departments, particularly regarding Board and Committee meetings.
